History of the Land
The concept of Habitat Acres began in the early 1960s. I wanted to leave a sustainable environment for those who would work and live on the land I began farming a decade earlier.
Today, more than forty years later, that dream has come true. Most lots at Habitat Acres have stunning views of a water habitat that hosts geese and ducks, while deer, coyotes and the occasional moose inhabit the surrounding land. The community is ideal for outdoor recreation activities like hiking, cross-country skiing and kayaking.
Most of the 68 acres of land that make up Habitat Acres will remain essentially as you see them today, with the addition of a small number of modern homes, necessary infrastructure and a condominium association that will ensure that the land on which I raised my family is enjoyed by many generations.
Habitat Acres blends urban convenience with a rural lifestyle. And it does so with a commitment to preserving the land for the birds and animals we share it with. We call this new residential concept — evergreen living.
